Director, LACA Digital GTM

Role Overview

The Director Digital GTM is a strategic and results-driven leader responsible for shaping and executing the regional digital growth agenda for LACA region. This role drives market penetration customer acquisition retention and revenue growth through the development and execution of scalable go-to-market and omnichannel digital strategies tailored to the regions unique market dynamics.

The Director will lead cross-functional execution across marketing product operations risk technology finance compliance and legal to deliver a seamless end-to-end digital customer experience. This role also plays a critical part in translating global digital capabilities into localized market-relevant propositions while building and enabling a high-performing regional digital team.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy & Go-to-Market Execution

• Develop and execute regional digital go-to-market strategies to accelerate customer acquisition retention engagement and revenue growth.
• Own and manage key commercial levers for the digital channel including revenue growth profitability pricing inputs cost discipline and conversion performance.
• Establish a clear regional digital roadmap aligned with global strategy and tailored to local customer needs regulatory environments and market conditions.

Customer & Market Growth

• Design and execute omnichannel customer acquisition and retention strategies leveraging digital-first and assisted digital journeys.
• Lead customer and market preference assessments to identify growth opportunities and provide clear product-market fit insights to global product teams.
• Continuously optimize the digital funnel using data experimentation and performance analytics to improve acquisition activation and lifetime value.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner closely with regional Retail leadership and collaborate across marketing product technology operations risk finance compliance and legal to ensure integrated execution.
• Work with Compliance Privacy Legal and Risk teams to manage regulatory considerations and relationships ensuring digital initiatives are compliant and scalable.
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams to deliver against growth targets and strategic priorities.

Organization & Talent Leadership

• Lead and develop the regional digital organization including hiring onboarding performance management and capability building.
• Foster a culture of accountability innovation and customer-centricity while enabling teams to execute against strategic initiatives at pace.
• Act as a thought leader and change agent for digital growth within the region.

Partnerships & Market Enablement

• Support the formation and execution of strategic partnerships with regulators ecosystem partners and growth enablers to unlock market entry and expansion opportunities.
• Contribute to execution of market entry and scaling strategies ensuring smooth implementation and sustainable growth.

Experience & Qualifications

• 12 years of proven experience in digital growth go-to-market or commercial roles within financial services or payments with strong regional market exposure.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer acquisition retention and conversion strategies at scale.
• 7 years of people and project leadership experience including building and leading cross-functional or matrixed teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing or influencing revenue growth profitability and cost control.
• Experience working effectively across functions such as marketing product technology operations risk compliance and finance.
• Track record of operating in regulated environments and partnering with legal/compliance teams in LACA.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
• Strong executive presence communication and stakeholder management skills.

Work Shift

HYBRID - Western Union values in-person collaboration problem solving and ideation whenever possible. We believe this fosters common ways of working and supports how we execute initiatives for our customers. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.
