Job Summary

Job Overview

IQVIA is seeking an experienced and motivated Line Manager to lead and develop a team of clinical research professionals supporting the execution of clinical studies. This role is responsible for ensuring appropriate resource allocation employee development quality oversight and operational excellence across clinical projects.

The ideal candidate will bring solid clinical research experience as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) strong leadership capabilities and a passion for coaching and developing talent. Previous people management experience is highly desirable.

This position requires residence in São Paulo Brazil availability to travel as needed and the ability to attend quarterly in-person meetings at the local office.

Essential Functions
  • Lead coach and develop a team of clinical research professionals in accordance with IQVIA policies and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct performance management activities including goal setting performance reviews career development planning recognition and employee relations management.
  • Support talent acquisition activities including candidate evaluation interviewing onboarding and training of new hires.
  • Ensure team members have the appropriate training systems access tools and support required to perform their roles effectively.
  • Oversee training compliance SOP adherence and ongoing professional development activities.
  • Allocate resources to clinical projects based on business needs employee experience and development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess the quality of team deliverables through regular review feedback and coaching.
  • Identify performance or quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Ensure team members meet defined productivity quality and compliance metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Operations leadership and project teams to resolve challenges and support study delivery.
  • Contribute to organizational initiatives focused on quality enhancement process optimization and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelors degree in Life Sciences or Health Sciences or related.
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) (7-9 years) within the pharmaceutical CRO or clinical research industry.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial processes Good Clinical Practice (GCP) ICH guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership mentoring or team coordination experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders clients and team members.
  • Must be based in São Paulo Brazil.
  • Availability to travel as required.
  • Availability to attend quarterly in-person meetings at the São Paulo office.
Preferred
  • Previous experience in people management including direct line management responsibilities.
  • Experience managing CRA teams or other clinical operations professionals.
  • Advanced leadership and coaching skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
