Creative Executive, Scripted, Local Originals Brazil

The Amazon Studios Local Originals seeks a Scripted Creative Executive. You will have experience in both development and production and the ability to identify material and talent and guide top-level writers and directors in the creation of outlines scripts cuts and other material. Using your comprehensive knowledge of top tier film and premium television talent you will build on your previous industry relationships and develop new ones. You will be joining a self-motivated passionate and collaborative team environment. This position will be based in São Paulo.

Key job responsibilities
Seek out and recommend format proposals scripts and pitches.
Work with writers to develop stories and scripts for Amazon Studios Brazil Originals slate.
Have a strong working knowledge of and experience with production companies and creatives in the market.
Provide support through all creative and logistical aspects of development production post-production and launch.
Support interactions between the Brazil Originals department and other Amazon Studios departments in Brazil as needed for shows.
Participate in internal status report business and Greenlight meetings pertaining to Scripted Originals.
Maintain a keen understanding of trends social issues and current events of interest to Brazilian audiences and constantly iterate on ways to address these through Originals programming.

- 5 years of creative executive experience
- Knowledge of the television and media industry
- Experience working with other departments such as casting production research PR business and legal affairs
- Experience overseeing creative aspects of development production and post-production for scripted content
- Experience developing scripts from concept through production-ready drafts including providing and implementing creative notes
- Track record of identifying and evaluating scripted content (pitches treatments screenplays or series bibles)
- Professional fluency in Portuguese and English (written and verbal)

- Bachelors degree in communications marketing advertising or business
- Experience working as a producer creative executive or a similar role
- Experience in production and post production
- 7 years of experience in scripted content development for a streaming platform studio or premium network
- Experience working on premium/prestige scripted content (limited series drama or genre programming)
