Associate Director Structured Finance Brazil
Fitch Ratings is seeking an Associate Director to join its Structured Finance team in São Paulo.
Fitchs Structured Finance group in Brazil focuses on the credit analysis and rating of local market transactions primarily structured through Fundos de Investimento em Direitos Creditórios (FIDCs) debentures and securitization instruments such as CRIs and CRAs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assigning and monitoring ratings across a range of structured finance transactions including ABS and Structured Credit deals. The role involves cash flow modeling legal documentation review collateral analysis preparation of credit committee materials and communication of credit opinions to investors and addition the role offers strong international exposure through regular interaction and collaboration with Fitchs Structured Finance teams in other global offices contributing to cross-border knowledge sharing and consistency in credit analysis.

Well Count on You To:
- Analyze transactions and produce high-quality credit opinions for investors and market participants
- Develop and implement portfolio analyses (e.g. default vintages prepayment rates and recoveries) and cash flow models
- Review transaction legal documentation to ensure alignment with Fitchs criteria and methodologies
- Lead rating action processes for new and existing transactions and present it to internal rating committees
- Conduct ongoing surveillance and performance monitoring of a portfolio of rated transactions
- Produce clear high-quality written outputs including rating committee memos criteria sector reports and market commentary
- Lead sector research initiatives in coordination with team members
- Assist and lead meetings (virtual and in-person) with originators servicers and arrangers
- Represent Fitch in external events and maintain active market engagement
- Communicate rating rationales through presale reports presentations and investor discussions
What You Need to Have:
- Bachelors degree in Economics Engineering Finance Law or a related field
- Relevant experience in credit analysis structured finance or securitization
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Experience with data analysis databases and financial modeling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to review and interpret legal documentation
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management ability
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Prior experience with securitization instruments (FIDCs CRIs CRAs)
- Knowledge of VBA and/or SQL for financial modeling
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams integrating perspectives from analytical legal and commercial stakeholders
