Job Summary

The Senior Imported Material Planner is responsible for ensuring the continuous and optimized supply of imported raw materials and components to support manufacturing schedules. This role focuses strictly on material requirements planning (MRP) inventory parameters optimization and international pipeline management without operational customs clearance execution. The analyst acts as a strategic link between global suppliers logistics partners procurement and internal manufacturing teams.

Additionally this position plays a critical financial and operational role by monitoring Total Logistics Costs (TLC) and driving inventory management metrics such as Days Inventory Onhand (DIO) and Red Stock. The planner will lead the consolidation and presentation of Monthly Performance Results manage Current Forecast (CF) and Business Planning (BP) cycles and head strategic projects focused on freight optimization inbound expenses control and inventory reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Analyze and manage the procurement and scheduling of imported materials based on manufacturing demand ensuring zero line stoppages while avoiding excess stock.
  • Pipeline & Lead Time Management: Monitor the international supply chain pipeline (from supplier shipment to plant delivery) managing exceptions transit time deviations and critical parts tracking.
  • Financial & Metric Control: Closely monitor and analyze Total Logistics Costs (TLC) and key inventory indicators specifically driving the optimization of Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO) and the elimination of Red Stock.
  • Planning & Reporting: Lead the review and execution of Monthly Performance Results. Drive the strategic planning for Current Forecast (CF) and Business Planning (BP) to ensure strict alignment with corporate financial targets.
  • Strategic Projects: Lead continuous improvement and optimization projects focused on freight consolidation inbound logistics expenses reduction and inventory lean initiatives.
  • Inventory Parameterization: Define and maintain optimum inventory parameters in the ERP (Safety Stock Reorder Points Lot Sizes) considering long international lead times and demand volatility.

Qualifications :

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or related fields.
  • Languages: Fluent English is mandatory (reporting to corporate/global levels and daily contact with global suppliers).
  • Experience: Solid experience in Material Planning (MRP/PCP) of imported items within a fast-paced industrial or automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical mindset with experience in financial forecasting (CF/BP) inventory controlling (DIO) and logistics cost management (TLC). Deep understanding of international logistics dynamics (transit times container utilization).
  • Systems: Proficiency in SAP (modules MM/PP) or similar robust ERP systems and advanced Excel.
