Rhode Island Mayoral Academies (RIMA) was created in 2009 as an organization dedicated to creating a statewide network of high-performing charter public schools. RIMA recruits and supports the nation’s best nonprofit charter school operators, providing them with an array of resources while holding them accountable for high student achievement. RIMA is a key player in a growing statewide education reform movement in Rhode Island, a recent Race to the Top winner.
