Join a major digital transformation programme within an independent Belgian federal organisation responsible for assessing international protection requests. As a hands-on Expert Test Engineer you will play a key role in the eDossier modernisation programme designing and implementing automated testing strategies for a cloud-native microservices-based platform.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute test strategies for cloud-native applications APIs and microservices.
Develop and maintain automated functional integration API performance and security tests.
Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Validate system quality through end-to-end regression and performance testing.
Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver secure high-quality software and continuously improve testing practices.
Requirements
10 years of hands-on experience as a Test Engineer.
Strong experience with cloud-native testing (preferably Azure) test automation API testing (Bruno) UI testing (Cypress) performance testing (JMeter/Gatling) and observability tools (Grafana).
Experience with Java Python JavaScript Bash/PowerShell TDD CI/CD contract testing security testing and NoSQL databases.
Higher education degree in Computer Science or a related field (EU-recognised).
Fluent English and very good Dutch or French.
Willingness to work 3 days per week on-site in Brussels (Brussels-South/Midi).

Technical Skills Required Expertise in statistics and machine learning 7 to 10 years of experience in data science ideally in the healthcare sector Knowledge of regulatory standards (FDA GMP ISO) Excellent written and spoken English Ability to write detailed technical documentation in English Proficiency in R and/or Python Expected Soft Skills Rigor autonomy and strong organizational skills Ability to work in a multicultural and project-based environment Strong interpersonal skills: listening teaching simplification synthesis Service-oriented and scientifically driven mindset Ability to lead and collaborate remotely Flexibility regarding project changes and scheduling constraints Effective in reporting and meeting facilitation
