We are looking to recruit a Statutory Accountantto support Clinigens Belgian and German operations.

Reporting to the Financial controller the Statutory Accountant is a key role within the group finance team. Youll have responsibility for all matters relating to Statutory Reporting Audit tax filings for Belgian and German entities and ensuring compliance policies are operating effectively. Youll also oversee statutory reporting VAT processes and lead annual audits with external partners.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week spent in the Brussels office

Ways to add value:

As Statutory Accountant youll be responsible for;

• Leading year end statutory account preparation and external audits for Belgian and German entities
• Add Input into Group audits
• Management of local tax compliance activities ensuring the maintenance of appropriate tax records and compliance returns.
• Maintaining local records in line with Global tax strategy including transfer pricing documentation and transactions
• Ownership of VAT Intrastat and corporation tax calculations and filings
• Work cross functionally and collaboratively with other teams within Finance.
• Be a key active member of the team with a commercial and supportive focus
• Conduct regular balance sheet reviews in close collaboration with financial accountants
• Building relationships with key external financial bodies
• Ensuring compliance with local reporting requirements
• Review the finance system to ensure it operates in full compliance with local reporting requirements

About You:

• Degree educated in a related finance or business subject
• Successful track record gained in a similar environment
• Knowledge of in-house finance processes and practices
• Advanced Excel
• Fluent in English and French
• Basic knowledge of German finance and accounting processes
• Ability to understand and communicate financial matters relating to the Business Units.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to define objectives and develop frameworks
• Ability to work both collaboratively as part of a global team in an ambiguous constantly changing environment
