Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) is the strategic level command responsible for the planning preparation conduct and execution of NATO operations missions activities and tasks as directed by Council in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the Alliance.
The Reprographic Services Section (REPRO) is responsible for providing centralized high-quality design production and reproductions services to SHAPE.
The incumbent is responsible for preparing all matters related to producing and distributing designs and products.
Principal Duties
The incumbents duties are:
a) Preparing rough drafts refining designs with illustration software using colors and effects to visualize concepts and collaborating with clients and stakeholders to meet their needs.
b) Operating of printing reproduction and illustration equipment including hardware and software.
c) Completing work requests for reproduction and illustrations mat cutting (Valiani cutting machine) as requested and assigned.
d) Attending training on assigned machinery with the aim to perform duties at adequate level.
e) Managing printing reproduction and graphical supplies level and inform technician (Reprographics) if supplies are critical.
f) Following required security standards for classified and sensitive material during assigned stages of production.
g) Attending meetings training or courses relevant to the above duties.
h) Creating visually captivating illustrations by combining hand-drawing and painting with digital media.
Special Requirements and Additional Duties
The incumbent may be required to deploy in support of military operations and exercises or undertake TDY assignments within or outside NATO boundaries for up to 180 days.
The role may require performing similar duties elsewhere in the organisation at the same grade without there being any change to the contract.
Essential Qualifications
a. Professional/Experience
1) Knowledge and skills in using illustration software to create and refine designs.
2) Knowledge and skills of Basic Networking color management and paper management.
3) Experience knowledge and skills of image editing and digital sketching software like Photoshop InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
4) Knowledge and skills of drawing skills with an attention to detail.
5) Knowledge and skills of different printing techniques and processes (digital sign language large and small format).
6) Ability to work efficiently and meet production deadlines.
b. Education/Training
Secondary education and basic training for specific task related skills with 2 years experience.

English - SLP 3322 (Listening Speaking Reading and Writing)
Desirable Qualifications
a. Professional Experience
1) Profound knowledge of illustration and the close work with customers to understand their requirements.
2) Basic experience of printing and reprographic including software.
3) At least 3 years professional experience in illustration mat cutting printing and in duplication work in general.
4) Experience and in-depth knowledge of the refining of designs with illustration software and using various colors graphics and effects to bring concepts to life.

Attributes/Competencies
Personal Attributes: The post holder must work on their own initiative and be able to manage problems as and when they occur. They must be able to work under considerable pressure providing real-time solutions based on knowledge and experience. The ability to be decisive adaptable and to prioritize is essential in accomplishing the various duties of the post together with being service minded.
The post holder must be prepared to work unsocial hours and to adapt to changing schedules.

Professional Contacts: Maintains internal contacts normally at a branch or higher level the incumbent maintains external contacts with firms shops and industries to coordinate equipment maintenance acquire products information on latest technology and procedures as well as the procurement of specialized supplies. These tasks require a high degree of diplomacy knowledge expertise and a thorough understanding of graphics and photo operations.
Contribution To Objectives: Provides input to Section Head to facilitate the overall accomplishment of the section goals and objectives and ensures high quality and fast service.
REMARKS:
Duration of contract: This position is advertised pending NAC approval.Serving staff members will be offered a contract according to the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations (NCPR). Newly recruited staff will be offered a definite duration contract of three years normally followed by an indefinite duration contract.
The salary will be the basic entry-level monthly salary defined by the NATO Grade of the post which may be augmented by allowances based on the selected staff members eligibility and which is subject to the withholding of approximately 20% for pension and medical insurance contributions.
