About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Juridisch Consultant to provide legal support within a public sector legal affairs team. The consultant will advise internal departments on a broad range of administrative and public law matters ensuring legally sound decision-making and compliance with applicable legislation.

The assignment focuses on delivering practical legal advice drafting legal documents and supporting internal stakeholders across various governance-related topics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice to internal departments on administrative and public law matters.
  • Draft and review regulations agreements settlements and other legal documents.
  • Advise on governance structures decision-making processes and competencies of public authorities.
  • Conduct legal research and provide practical solution-oriented recommendations.
  • Support matters relating to liability legal protection and public administration.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and legal colleagues.
Required Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Law.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Legal Consultant or Jurist.
  • Proven experience providing practical legal advice in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with administrative and public law.
  • Ability to describe a relevant case involving administrative and public law.
  • Experience with governmental or administrative decision-making processes.
  • Native-level Dutch (CEFR C2) is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within provincial or local government.
  • Knowledge of provincial governance legislation and related public sector regulations.
  • Experience supporting public sector organizations.
Skills
  • Strong legal analytical and advisory skills.
  • Excellent drafting and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to translate complex legislation into practical advice.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a legal team.
