Senior Consultant – Cost & Profitability Efficiency
Job Summary
Drive sustainable cost transformation optimise CAPEX and help leading financial institutions improve profitability through a cross-functional view of RUN and CHANGE costs.
The Role
At Capco we partner with leading financial institutions to solve their most complex business challenges. As a Senior Consultant Cost & Profitability Efficiency you will contribute to the design and delivery of cost optimisation programmes that create measurable business value while supporting long-term strategic priorities.
Working closely with client stakeholders and internal teams you will help identify opportunities to optimise the cost base improve CAPEX discipline and strengthen profitability enhancement initiatives across the full RUN and CHANGE agenda. You will also play an important role in supporting project delivery developing client relationships and contributing to the growth of our Cost Efficiency capability.
What Youll Do
- Contribute to the delivery of cost efficiency profitability improvement and operating model transformation programmes for financial services clients.
- Identify quantify and support the realisation of sustainable cost-savings opportunities across RUN and CHANGE activities including cost-base optimisation and CAPEX prioritisation.
- Support client relationships facilitate workshops and help prepare strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Work alongside consulting teams to deliver high-quality project outputs and pragmatic execution plans.
- Contribute to business development by supporting proposals thought leadership and practice growth initiatives.
What Were Looking For
- Proven consulting or industry experience in cost optimisation operating model transformation or profitability improvement programmes within financial services.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with experience engaging senior executives.
- Experience contributing to project teams and managing workstreams in complex environments.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and commercial acumen with the ability to translate insights into practical recommendations.
- A collaborative approach with a passion for delivering measurable client outcomes.
Bonus Points For
- Experience with zero-based budgeting activity-based costing cost allocation methodologies or business case / CAPEX governance.
- Knowledge of banking capital markets insurance or wealth management operating models.
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation or change programmes.
- Professional qualifications such as Lean Six Sigma PMP or equivalent.
- Experience contributing to business development client proposals or thought leadership.
