Position overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering quality maintenance and EHS projects that support key business initiatives. This role manages all phases of projects from planning and budgeting through execution and completion ensuring projects are delivered safely on schedule and within budget. The Project Manager works cross-functionally with engineering manufacturing contractors customers and internal stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes while maintaining strong communication accountability and operational excellence.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage small projects from initiation through completion.
  • Ensure all personnel involved in projects including project teams plant personnel and contractors understand and comply with all safety standards and regulations.
  • Direct project planning coordination execution and implementation activities for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate feasibility studies and pre-AFE planning activities by gathering analyzing organizing and presenting information from customers manufacturing engineering and other business functions.
  • Prepare AFE documentation and requisitions with detailed scopes of work accurate cost estimates and clear project justifications.
  • Manage project budgets and control costs to achieve approved project objectives while utilizing project accounting systems and continuous cost forecasting.
  • Establish monitor and revise project schedules using critical path scheduling methodologies to ensure project goals and deadlines are achieved.
  • Develop responsibility plans and start-up production plans to support successful project implementation.
  • Provide regular project status updates to management and project teams including progress risks schedule updates and cost reporting.
  • Build lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams consisting of engineering operations customers contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain engineering documentation change order processes and work order controls to ensure projects meet approved standards and requirements.
  • Utilize project management software and business systems to support planning scheduling cost tracking organization and stakeholder communication.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery and business operations.

What are we looking for

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management Construction Management or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of project management experience in manufacturing industrial or construction environments.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience managing project scope schedules budgets forecasting and risk mitigation.
  • Strong financial acumen and problem-solving abilities with a results-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Microsoft Project and project accounting or business systems.
  • Knowledge of high-speed automated production environments and general construction practices.

Work Environment: This role requires on-site presence at our Genk plant.

Hiring Range: 69EUR gross per year. The final salary will be determined based on any applicable collective bargaining agreements minimum salary the candidates education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity and market benchmarks.

Incentive Plan: This position is eligible to participate in Balls annual incentive compensation program.
