About the Role

An established and rapidly expanding international infrastructure group is seeking a motivated Paralegal / Legal Associate to join its growing Legal Department based in Temse Belgium.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic legal team that supports complex infrastructure utilities telecommunications energy water and construction projects across multiple European jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support and guidance to operational and business teams ensuring compliance with applicable laws regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Draft review negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial agreements contracts and legal documentation related to infrastructure and construction projects.
  • Assist in identifying assessing and mitigating legal and contractual risks associated with ongoing and future projects.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise internal stakeholders on legal and compliance requirements.
  • Support the management of disputes claims and litigation matters including coordination with external counsel when required.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers engineering teams procurement finance and senior leadership to support successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of legal policies procedures and best practices across the organization.
  • Deliver legal guidance and training to internal stakeholders to promote risk awareness and compliance throughout the business.
  • Assist with legal governance initiatives and support cross-border legal matters involving multiple jurisdictions.

What Were Looking For

  • Degree in Law Practice or a related legal qualification.
  • Additional education training or experience in contract law construction law or infrastructure-related legal matters is considered an advantage.
  • Previous experience within infrastructure construction utilities engineering or project-based environments is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements is a plus.
  • Ability to balance urgent legal matters while proactively identifying and managing potential risks.
  • Pragmatic and commercially minded approach to legal problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Driven ambitious and eager to continuously develop professionally.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent written and spoken Dutch French and English.
  • Knowledge of German is considered an asset.
