Mainframe Designer-

Location: Brussels Belgium
Start Date: August 2026
Contract Duration: 6 Months

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Designer with strong expertise in mainframe application design and development. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience translating business requirements into high-level and detailed technical designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Experience within Capital Markets or Investment Banking is highly preferred.

• Design and develop mainframe applications based on business requirements.
• Create High-Level Designs (HLD) and Detailed Application Designs (DAD).
• Collaborate with Business Analysts Application Owners Developers Testers and Operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Design scalable reliable and maintainable mainframe solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze technical challenges and provide effective design solutions.
• Ensure adherence to development standards best practices and project guidelines.
• Support development teams during implementation and deployment activities.

• Strong expertise in Mainframe technologies.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • PL/1
  • JCL
  • DB2
  • SQL
  • CICS
• Experience creating High-Level and Detailed Application Designs.
• Strong understanding of application development lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile environments.
• Ability to learn new technologies and methodologies quickly.

• Experience in Capital Markets or Investment Banking.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

• 810 years of relevant experience in Mainframe Design and Development.
