Job Scope
The Junior Commercial Controller supports the commercial cluster Controller by providing financial analysis reporting and insights to drive business performance. This role supports the commercial cluster controller in partnering closely with sales marketing and operations teams to ensure financial targets are met and business decisions are data-driven
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare regular sales and profitability reports (by customer product and channel)
- Support monthly closing activities including variance analysis versus budget and forecasts
- Analyze revenue margins and pricing performance to identify risks and opportunities
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights
- Business Partnering
- Work closely with commercial teams (Sales/Marketing) to monitor business performance
- Support pricing control and commercial initiatives with financial analysis
- Challenge assumptions and provide recommendations to improve profitability
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts
- Assist in the control of actual performance against plans and explain variances
- Contribute to continuous improvement of forecasting methodologies and planning processes
- Audit & Compliance
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing relevant documentation and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls financial policies and procedures
- Assist in identifying and addressing audit findings or control weaknesses
- Maintain proper documentation to ensure audit traceability of commercial and financial data
Education Experience and Qualifications
- Minimal Masters Degree business studies/business economics
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance (Controlling Finance Audit FP&A etc..)
- Advanced skills in MS Word Excel (Macros & VBA) & PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP (CO-PA and FI modules).
- Experience with a CRM or BI tools would be an advantage.
- Very good analytical skills to manager complex business processes.
- Strong ability to self-organize prioritize and structure activities based on priorities.
- Business-oriented mindset analytical and problem-solving skills autonomy and reliability teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure maintain accuracy with attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in French & English Dutch is a plus
- Periodical travels within the cluster required.
- 20% (Travels withing the Cluster required)
- Position is office based with home office working as per policy.
