ICT Solution & Development Architect (Expert)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Solution & Development Architect to design develop and evolve a modern enterprise data integration platform.

This is a hands-on architecture role requiring someone who combines technical leadership with practical development experience. You will work closely with development teams define architecture standards translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and guide the evolution of mission-critical platforms.

The ideal candidate is comfortable leading Agile teams while remaining actively involved in technical implementation and solution design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable secure and reliable platform architectures
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Develop and maintain architecture roadmaps
• Lead and mentor development teams
• Define user stories and support Scrum activities
• Design and improve high-performance server applications
• Promote architectural standards and best practices
• Ensure long-term maintainability and lifecycle management of solutions
• Collaborate with architects developers and business stakeholders
• Support DevOps practices and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coach teams on architecture analysis and software development methodologies

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

• Minimum 8 years of experience as an ICT Architect
• Minimum 8 years as a Specialist Architect or Enterprise Architect in one or more of the following:
  • Application Architecture
  • Infrastructure Architecture
  • Security Architecture
  • Data Architecture
  • Enterprise Architecture
• Minimum 8 years developing high-performance secure and reliable server applications
• Strong experience with REST APIs
• Strong DevOps experience
• Minimum 8 years coaching and mentoring development teams
• Experience with architecture modelling techniques including:
  • TOGAF
  • ArchiMate
  • UML
  • Sparx Enterprise Architect
• Excellent understanding of enterprise architecture principles
• Native or near-native Dutch (CEFR C2)

Preferred Experience

• Experience within government or large public-sector organizations
• Agile delivery experience
• OAuth authentication
• PostgreSQL
• Enterprise business process modelling
• Project management fundamentals including:
  • Planning
  • Cost estimation
  • Coordination
  • Scheduling
• Experience across multiple architecture domains
• Knowledge of Extreme Programming (XP)
• Experience with enterprise data integration platforms
