About the job

We are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to support the communication publication and visual identity needs of the European Commission. The role involves delivering high-quality graphic design solutions for both print and digital communication materials ensuring full compliance with established visual identity guidelines and communication standards.

You will contribute to the concept creation adaptation and production of a wide range of visual communication products ensuring consistency clarity accessibility and strong visual impact across all deliverables. The position is based in Evere (Brussels).

Key responsibilities

• Graphic design & layout

  • Design and produce visual materials for print and digital channels
  • Create layouts for publications reports brochures leaflets posters and invitations
  • Develop creative visual concepts aligned with communication objectives

• Adaptation of existing materials

  • Update and revise graphic assets
  • Resize and adapt visuals for various formats and platforms
  • Ensure consistency with branding and visual identity guidelines

• Digital communication assets

  • Design visuals for websites social media newsletters and online campaigns
  • Produce web-optimized content in required formats
  • Create animations and digital assets where needed

• Infographics & data visualisation

  • Develop infographics charts and diagrams
  • Translate complex information into clear and engaging visuals

• Pre-press & production

  • Prepare print-ready files in line with technical specifications
  • Ensure quality control and compliance before production
  • Liaise with printing and production providers when required

• Quality assurance & revisions

  • Implement feedback and requested modifications
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables within deadlines

• File delivery

  • Deliver final outputs in required formats
  • Provide editable source files and associated assets when needed

Your profile

• 5 years of experience in graphic design for both print and digital media
• Strong understanding of branding and visual identity guidelines
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and consistency
• Good communication skills and ability to work under supervision
• Experience working in structured environments with defined processes is an asset
• Ability to handle confidential information

Specific expertise

• Expertise in layout design and visual communication
• Strong experience with digital content creation (social media web newsletters)
• Knowledge of infographic design and data visualisation techniques
• Experience in pre-press preparation and print production processes
• Familiarity with file formats resolutions and technical specifications for publishing
• Ability to ensure accessibility and clarity in visual communication
