Job Summary

Facility Manager / Building Coordinator (Hybrid Brussels)

We are looking for a hands-on Facility Manager / Building Coordinator to oversee the daily operational and technical management of several office buildings in Brussels.

This role focuses on coordinating the delivery and setup of a new office location managing facility operations and ensuring high-quality service for building users in a dynamic public-sector environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the daily facility operations within one or more office buildings
  • Act as the main point of contact for building users suppliers and external partners
  • Supervise and support a small logistics/support team
  • Monitor technical issues maintenance activities cleaning services and supplier performance
  • Manage access control badges keys signage and safety procedures
  • Support small relocation and office setup projects
  • Ensure a safe clean and well-maintained working environment
  • Participate in safety and wellbeing meetings and follow up on related actions
  • Handle operational incidents escalations and urgent situations proactively
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and process optimization
  • Ensure timely follow-up of customer requests and operational deadlines
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a facility management building coordination or technical support environment
  • Experience with helpdesk tools and facility-related systems
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Technical affinity with building systems maintenance contracts and supplier management
  • Experience managing or coaching a small team
  • Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle unexpected situations effectively
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and workplace wellbeing practices
  • Experience within cabinet/government or similar professional environments is considered a plus
Languages
  • Dutch: Native or bilingual proficiency
Work Conditions
  • Mainly onsite role in Brussels
  • 1 to 2 remote working days per month
