Your impact
As anAssociateyoullplay a supporting role in our EU public policy and regulatory team gaining hands-on experience and developing yourexpertisein a dynamic international environment.
Your core activitieswillbe:
1. Mapping & Insights EU regulatory environmentimpactingmultidisciplinary firms
HelpmonitorsummariseandanalyseEU initiatives that couldimpactthe firm and its business model. Topics include corporate reporting (financial and non-financial) auditpublicprocurementandcorporate governance among others.
Support the team in understanding the external environment andidentifyingthe expectations and interests of key external stakeholders (e.g.by attending conferences events etc.).
Contribute to the drafting of thebi-weekly newsletteron relevant EU developments.
Assistindraftinginput intoEC consultationson topics of interest to PwC.
2. Regulatoryleadersnetwork
Provide support to PwC regulatory leaders inestablishingand/orfacilitatingformal in-country dialogues with stakeholders on EU public policy regulatory and other issues of strategic priority to the network and individual territories.
Help with the logisticalorganisationof theannual R&PL seminar.
3. Cooperation with other stakeholders
Help build a network withrelevant stakeholders.
Support theorganisationof events on PwC thought leadership with EU stakeholders (EU institutions think tanks NGOs business/tradeorganisations civil society).
About you
Afirst relevant experience or strong interest in EU affairs public policy or regulatory topics(an internship or first professional experience is a plus).
Good English verbal and written communication skills; eagerness to learn how to make complex issues easy to understand and to adapt messaging to relevant audiences.
Interest inbuilding relationships and networkingwith internal and external stakeholders.
Ateam playerwith the ability to work in cross-regional virtual teams.
Curiousproactiveand enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and grow.
Able to work bothindependently and as part of a team under the guidance of more experienced colleagues.
Goodorganisationaland time-management skills; able to handle multiple tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an in-depth and rigorous approach.
Technologically savvy with a flexible and agile mindset.
Ageneral interest in current events(EU key member states).
Basic knowledge of the EU decision-making process and/or first exposure to EU institutions or political groups.
Eagerness to meet people inside PwC and across the broader network.
