Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Cloud Engineer to design build and maintain modern cloud-native platforms and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure Kubernetes Terraform and DevOps best practices along with a strong background in cloud-native solution design.

Experience within the public sector and the waste management/environmental sector is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design implement and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and manage Kubernetes-based container platforms.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Design scalable secure and resilient cloud solutions.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve deployment processes.
• Ensure platform reliability scalability security and performance.
• Support continuous improvement of DevOps practices and cloud architecture.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Computer Science ICT or equivalent through relevant experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with the required technology stack or similar technologies.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform
  • Designing cloud-native solutions
• Proven experience working within the public sector.
• Proven experience within the waste management/environmental sector.
• Native-level Dutch proficiency (CEFR C2) is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the Flemish Government.
• Experience with Ansible (3 years).
• Experience with Bamboo.
• Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Helm.
• Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies and automation practices.
