Contracting Assistant (Tenders, Bid Evaluation, Contract Administration) for NATO with security clearance

A multinational defence organisation in Brussels is looking for a contracting assistant to workunder its principal contracting officer carrying procurements from the first solicitation throughto award and then keeping the resulting contracts in good order. Half the time is spent on sitehalf wherever you work best.
What you would be doing
- Handling competitive and sole-source procurements: drafting and releasing solicitationsanalysing bids talking to bidders and preparing awards
- Liaising with contractors so that tasks are delivered on time and as agreed
- Processing contract changes and amendments and keeping financial records audit-ready
- Reviewing business cases and recommending the right procurement route whether open market oran existing framework
- Sorting out procurement issues for internal customers or escalating them when needed andsupporting supplier improvement actions
- Contributing timely high-quality input to procurement reporting
What you would bring
- Higher vocational training in a relevant field with 2 years of related experience or asecondary qualification with 4 years
- Working knowledge of procurement methods and of keeping financial records compliant
- Experience with high-value high-volume framework contracts for services
- Welcome extras: public sector procurement an international military and civilian environmentand knowledge of NATO procurement
- Good professional English
