About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Expert Cloud & Virtualisation Engineer to join an infrastructure team responsible for managing and evolving a complex enterprise IT environment.

The role combines infrastructure architecture implementation optimisation troubleshooting and technical advisory responsibilities across Windows server environments cloud platforms virtualisation technologies storage networking and security.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing and maintaining hybrid infrastructure environments with strong expertise in Microsoft technologies Azure Cloud VMware and enterprise infrastructure operations.

Your Responsibilities

Infrastructure Architecture & Design

• Design and develop high-level server and infrastructure architectures aligned with business requirements.
• Analyse infrastructure needs considering:
  • High availability and disaster recovery
  • Network topology and bandwidth requirements
  • Datacenter capacity
  • Licensing and lifecycle management
  • Cost optimisation
  • Security requirements
• Maintain and improve CMDB information.
• Develop recommendations and technical roadmaps for future infrastructure evolution.

Implementation & Optimisation

• Support and validate implementations across test and production environments.
• Ensure systems operate according to architectural standards and requirements.
• Analyse system parameters logs and monitoring data to identify improvements.
• Configure and optimise infrastructure components where required.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Investigate incidents using monitoring platforms logs and SCOM alerts.
• Resolve complex infrastructure issues across server cloud storage and networking layers.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners during audits and technical assessments.

Mandatory Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant infrastructure experience.
• Strong experience in enterprise infrastructure operations.

• Active Directory administration (5 years)
• Microsoft PKI / AD PKI solutions (5 years)
• Windows Client & Server environments (5 years)
• Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
• ADFS with PKI solutions
• Microsoft Group Policy (GPO)
• Office 365 administration
• PowerShell scripting

Virtualisation & Cloud

• VMware administration (5 years)
• VMware NSX
• VMware Tanzu / container technologies
• Azure Cloud environments
• Hybrid Cloud architectures
• Linux containers

Infrastructure & Security

• ITIL practices
• Network technologies:
  • TCP/IP

Education & Languages

Education

• Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience.

Languages

Required:

• Native Dutch or French.
• Good knowledge of both Dutch and French.
• English proficiency for reading and writing technical documentation.
