We are seeking an experienced Change Manager to lead organizational change initiatives for a major Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) transformation program within a leading public transport organization based in Mechelen Belgium.

This role is ideal for a senior change professional with a strong background in stakeholder engagement organizational transformation and Agile project environments. You will be responsible for developing and executing change strategies that ensure successful adoption of new processes systems and ways of working across the organization.

Contract Details

  • Location: Mechelen Belgium
  • Work Model: On-site
  • Start Date: 15 July 2026
  • End Date: 31 December 2026
  • Workload: 50% (approximately 480 hours)
  • Employment Type: Contract / Freelance

Key Responsibilities

Change Strategy & Planning

  • Conduct organizational impact and readiness assessments.
  • Develop comprehensive change management strategies and roadmaps.
  • Identify affected business units and stakeholder groups.
  • Define change objectives and success measures.
  • Build executive sponsorship and organizational commitment.

Change Delivery

  • Develop implement and manage detailed change plans.
  • Coordinate communication engagement training coaching and co-creation initiatives.
  • Monitor adoption and adjust change interventions where required.
  • Support project teams throughout implementation.

Business Adoption & Sustainability

  • Ensure successful integration of new processes into daily operations.
  • Measure change effectiveness and long-term adoption.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and knowledge transfer.
  • Promote lasting behavioral and organizational change.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for business leaders project teams executives and key stakeholders.
  • Lead steering committees and governance activities.
  • Present progress reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Build strong relationships across business and technology teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in change management.
  • Minimum 5 years experience managing senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with incident and change management processes.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in Agile project environments.
  • Bachelors or masters degree.
  • ADKAR Certification (required).
  • Excellent communication facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Dutch language proficiency at the CEFR C2 level is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the public transport sector.
  • Experience in Asset Management.
  • Experience applying the Prosci ADKAR methodology.
  • Scrum Master Certification.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide transformation programs.
