Duties & Role:

• Design and implement AWS cloud solutions to support business applications and services;
• Build configure and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles;
• Lead or support cloud migration projects from on-premises or legacy environments to AWS;
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls access management encryption and compliance requirements;
• Monitor cloud environments to ensure availability performance reliability and cost efficiency;
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents and service issues;
• Develop automation scripts and deployment pipelines to improve operational efficiency and consistency;
• Collaborate with development infrastructure security and business teams to deliver cloud-based solutions;
• Produce and maintain technical documentation architecture diagrams operational procedures and support guides;
• Conduct reviews and recommend improvements to cloud architecture security posture resilience and operational processes;
• Support disaster recovery planning testing and implementation activities;
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to internal teams where required;
• Stay informed of AWS best practices emerging technologies and service updates to ensure continuous improvement;

Skills Knowledge & Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Strong hands-on experience designing implementing and supporting solutions within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment.
• Proven experience with AWS core services including EC2 VPC IAM S3 RDS Lambda CloudWatch Route 53 and AWS Backup;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform AWS CloudFormation or CDK;
• Knowledge of cloud networking security architectures identity and access management and data protection best practices;
• Experience implementing high-availability disaster recovery and business continuity solutions;
• Proficiency in automation and scripting;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as Azure DevOps;
• Understanding of containerisation technologies including Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/EKS;
• Experience in monitoring troubleshooting and optimising cloud infrastructure performance and costs;
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
