Job Title: Analytics Engineer (Freelance)
Start Date: 01/08/2026
End Date: 31/12/2030 (initial 12-month contract with possible extensions)
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to join a Data & AI team supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will bridge the gap between data engineering and business analytics by transforming raw data into reliable well-structured datasets for reporting and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop data transformations using SQL and dbt.
- Build and maintain data models and ensure data quality using tools such as Great Expectations.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Integrate and optimize data from multiple sources for analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to deliver high-quality data products.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Support BI and data visualization initiatives using tools such as Power BI Metabase or Apache Superset.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Analytics Engineer.
- Strong SQL expertise.
- Experience with dbt and data modeling.
- Basic Python knowledge.
- Experience with Business Intelligence and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
- Strong analytical communication and documentation skills.
- Fluent Dutch (C2 level).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AWS (Athena SageMaker) Spark/PySpark.
- Knowledge of Scrum and DevOps.
- Experience with Great Expectations and Power BI.
Work Arrangement: Full-time freelance assignment with hybrid working available.
