Accounting Officer (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Leases) for NATO with security clearance

Year-end is coming. The ledger needs someone who has done this before.

A multinational defence organisation in Brussels needs an experienced accountant to workalongside its section lead on the general ledger and asset accounting team - keeping thenumbers right day to day and getting the books through month-end and year-end. Fully onsite.

What you would be doing

• Helping the section lead run daily general ledger and asset accounting property plantand equipment and lease accounting included
• Making sure transactions are processed accurately and on time
• Preparing financial reports and analysis
• Keeping internal controls working and the books compliant with the accountingstandards
• Coordinating the month-end and year-end close
• Improving accounting processes and systems and guiding colleagues through problems as theycome up

What you would bring

• Solid general ledger and fixed asset accounting experience leases included
• Hands-on experience running month-end and year-end closes
• A firm grasp of internal controls and accounting standards
• Experience guiding or supervising a small finance team
• Professional English
