Due to our clients continued growth we are seeking an experienced Workshop Foreperson/ Fabrication Manager to lead a busy fabrication workshop and drive productivity quality and safety outcomes.
The Role
Reporting to senior management you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop coordinating fabrication activities allocating labour resources and ensuring production targets and budgeted hours are achieved.
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to a trade-qualified professional who can effectively manage people workflow and workshop performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise workshop personnel across fabrication activities
Allocate daily tasks and resources to maximise productivity
Monitor workflow and ensure target labour hours are achieved
Coordinate fabrication schedules and production priorities
Maintain high standards of workmanship quality and safety
Mentor and develop tradespeople and apprentices
Liaise with management regarding project progress and workshop performance
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
About You
Trade qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator
Minimum 10 years fabrication and boilermaking experience
Proven experience in a Workshop Foreman Supervisor Leading Hand or Fabrication Manager role
Strong leadership and people management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Strong understanding of workshop productivity scheduling and labour management
Commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement
