- Location: Grafton Coffs Harbour Wollongbar or Kempsey
- Lead local Natural Resource Management teams in North Coast NSW
The Opportunity
Youll coordinate projects manage stakeholder relationships and help guide local responses to environmental challengesincluding supporting agricultural productivity and biosecurity programs and emergency management efforts.
What Youll Do
- Lead a team delivering natural resource management advisory programs and initiatives.
- Coordinate the development planning and implementation of NRM programs that reflect environmental social and economic considerations.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with landholders industry community groups and other stakeholders to deliver shared goals.
- Manage competing priorities in a dynamic and sometimes politically sensitive environment.
- Provide specialist advice to land managers to improve land management practices for environmental production and biosecurity outcomes.
- Support biosecurity preparedness and response and contribute to natural disaster recovery efforts.
What Were Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in natural resource management environmental management or a related field.
- Sound communication skill with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders build partnerships and foster collaborative approaches to local land management challenges.
- Strong project management skills including planning budgeting forecasting monitoring and reporting.
- Understanding of the needs and issues facing north coast landholders in achieving sustainable economic development.
- Relevant qualifications in environmental or natural resource management (or equivalent experience).
- A current NSW driver licence and willingness to travel as required.
