Software Engineer - .Net / COBOL
5 days onsite - within 15 minutes of Southern Cross Station

$160000 inc. super
Were partnering with an medium sizedorganisation undergoing a major technology modernisation program and are seeking a Software Engineer with experience across C#/.NET and legacy COBOL environments.
This role will focus on backend engineering and the migration of critical legacy systems into modern cloud native C#/.Net services. Youll work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to help deliver scalable platforms and support long term transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services using C#/.NET
- Support migration from COBOL-based systems to modern architectures
- Work across cloud environments and DevOps pipelines
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders across engineering and architecture
Ideal background:
- Strong C#/.NET backend development experience
- Exposure to COBOL or legacy enterprise systems
- Experience delivering migration or modernisation projects
- Cloud experience across Azure and/or AWS
- Understanding of Terraform CI/CD and infrastructure automation
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
