We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our clinical team.
Infection Prevention and Control Experience Highly Regarded
Pyramid Residential Care Centre is particularly interested in hearing from Registered Nurses with experience in Infection Prevention and Control. As part of our commitment to resident safety and clinical excellence this experience will be highly valued in supporting infection surveillance outbreak management staff education auditing activities and the implementation of evidence-based infection control practices. Candidates with a strong understanding of infection prevention principles transmission-based precautions antimicrobial stewardship and compliance with aged care infection control requirements will be well positioned to contribute to the ongoing safety and wellbeing of our residents visitors and staff. Experience in leading infection control initiatives within an aged care hospital or healthcare environment will be viewed favourably.
About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based clinical care while supporting residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life.
Working within a multidisciplinary team you will provide clinical leadership and guidance to Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers ensuring care is delivered safely respectfully and in accordance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing planning implementing and evaluating resident care
- Monitoring and responding to changes in resident health and wellbeing
- Supporting safe medication management practices
- Developing and reviewing resident care plans
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Providing leadership mentoring and support to care staff
- Working collaboratively with residents families allied health professionals and medical practitioners
- Contributing to quality improvement and clinical governance activities
- Supporting a culture of safety respect and continuous improvement
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to person-centred care and resident dignity
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A commitment to professional accountability and continuous learning
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Current National Police Certificate
- Current Influenza Vaccination
- Current COVID-19 Vaccination requirements as directed by the Department of Health and Aged Care
- Ability to complete mandatory training requirements
- Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
- Ability to comply with organisational policies procedures and legislative requirements
- Previous experience in residential aged care
- Experience within a clinical leadership role
- Knowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
- Experience participating in quality improvement activities
- Strong understanding of clinical governance principles
