Whats the role

The role is responsible for owning the operational performance stability and roadmap of network tooling and observability services ensuring platforms are reliable secure and scalable while translating business needs into effective tooling driving automation and partnering across engineering SRE network and security teams to deliver continuous improvement and strategic outcomes.

  • Own the health availability and roadmap of network tooling and observability platforms ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and resilience strategies
  • Ensure network data is effectively ingested into observability tools to support end-to-end monitoring diagnostics and incident response
  • Lead vendor management licensing strategies and cost optimisation while supporting transition and uplift initiatives
  • Drive service excellence across incident problem and change management enabling proactive monitoring automation and AIOps capabilities
  • Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to enable tool adoption deliver predictive insights and ensure compliance with security risk and governance frameworks
What do I need
  • 5-10years proven experience managing enterprise infrastructure or platform services at scale
  • Demonstrated deep technical knowledge of SolarWinds Netscout Accedian Tufin Cisco ISE Grafana ServiceNow
  • and Elastic
  • Strong understanding of observability concepts (monitoring logging metrics traces) and network tooling
  • Experience operating critical tooling platforms under ITIL/SRE-aligned service models
  • Demonstrated capability in vendor management contract negotiation and cost optimisation
  • Experience driving automation standardisation and self-service enablement
  • Strong incident management and operational resilience leadership
  • Ability to translate technical capability into business value and service outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and executive levels
  • Experience working in complex regulated enterprise environments
  • 5 years people leadership within a large enterprise
