Whats the role
The role will be responsible for leading the design implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure platforms and services driving reliability scalability and innovation across all domains in line with business objectives and industry best practices. It involves overseeing complex initiatives acting as a subject matter expert for infrastructure strategy and operations and supporting engineering capability through mentoring.
Additionally the role leads the deployment and lifecycle management of critical infrastructure across servers storage networking and cloud platforms including provisioning optimisation patching and decommissioning. It partners with stakeholders to deliver resilient solutions ensures compliance monitors SLA/OLA performance and problem management and manages vendor relationships.
What do I need
- 7 years experience in infrastructure engineering or related field.
- Proven expertise in designing and managing enterprise infrastructure (on-premises and cloud).
- Strong knowledge of automation scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Strong experience in ITIL Service Now with experience in building forms and relevant coding for further automation.
- Strong experience supporting and troubleshooting complex automated workflows with the ability to interpret detailed design documentation and navigate operational support processes.
- Experience managing technical teams vendors and ongoing vendor relationships
- Desirable skills include relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Azure Cisco VMware) experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines and exposure to financial services or other regulated environments.
