Job Summary
We are seeking a highly influential Head of Safety Operations to lead safety performance across a complex national multi-geographic environment. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for translating enterprise safety strategy into practical on-the-ground execution ensuring all risks (especially critical risks) are effectively managed and a high-performance safety culture is embedded across operations.
Partnering closely with executive and operational leaders you will drive consistency capability and accountability in safety outcomes. Youll play a key role in shaping leadership behaviours uplifting safety awareness building and constantly reviewing safety practices and ensuring it is integrated into every stage of service delivery.

What Youll Be Doing
- Lead and drive safety performance across national operations
- Partner with operational leaders to embed safety into planning mobilisation and service delivery
- Support the National GM of HSE with reporting
- Lead complex incident investigations and embed learnings across the business
- Coach and uplift leadership capability to own safety outcomes at every level
- Translate safety strategy into practical site-level actions
- Drive consistency of safety standards across diverse operational environments
- Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making and performance improvement
- Lead develop and align a high-performing HSE team
- Strengthen safety culture through visible leadership and proactive engagement in the field
What Youll Bring (Skills & Experience)
- 10 years experience in HSE leadership across volume national operations
- Degree in Safety Environment Engineering or related field
- Proven track record driving safety performance across diverse operations
- Strong ability to influence and partner with senior and executive stakeholders
- Experience leading culture transformation and change at scale
- Deep knowledge of legislation standards and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical capability with ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Exceptional communication stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
- High levels of professionalism integrity and resilience
