Job Summary
Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices retail centres logistics facilities and land lease communities. Thislong-termpartnership reflects Downers strength in managing large complex portfolios and deliveringhigh qualityservices at scale.
We currently have an opportunity for a Handyperson join our workforce and play a key role insupporting the effective and efficient management of properties across Stocklands national portfolio located at Willawong Distribution Centre.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager youll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs across multi-sites
- Perform routine and preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure safety and presentation
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
- Complete basic trade tasks (e.g. plumbing carpentry minor electrical painting) within scope
- Conduct safety checks identify issues and ensure compliance with WHS standards
What Youll Bring
- Proven experience in general maintenance repairs or handyperson work
- Construction White Card
- Ability to carry out general repairs across multiple areas (carpentry plumbing basic electrical)
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) and hazard identification
- Good time management problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate professionally manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
- Prepared to undertakenecessarypre-employment checks includingNational Police Checkand medical
- Working with Childrens Check mandatory
- Trade qualifications or certifications (desirable but not essential)
