Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Retail Manager (General) for a retail outlet located in a remote regional community in Australia. The ideal candidate will support store operations manage inventory and staff ensure compliance with workplace regulations and help achieve operational and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage product mix stock levels and service standards
- Implement purchasing pricing and marketing strategies
- Promote and advertise store products and services
- Assist customers with product selection and usage guidance
- Maintain records of stock sales and financial transactions
- Handle budgeting and daily store operations
- Supervise train and mentor staff members
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations
- Operate inventory control systems POS systems and bookkeeping software
- Coordinate smooth store operations in a remote community environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Retail Manager / Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager
- Strong knowledge of inventory management POS systems and bookkeeping software
- Minimum 3 years of experience in staff supervision training and team leadership
- Good understanding of WHS and HR practices
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience working in regional or remote communities is preferred
- Knowledge of indigenous culture and remote community environments will be an advantage.
