As a Field Service Engineeryou will exhibit genuine interest in solving work problems through proactively asking questions clearly communicating and collaborating both internally and externally to grow the business. This role will also conduct testing tuning and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-commission activities including system checkout instrumentation calibration loopchecks and communication testing on customer sites
  • Customer management training and installation/site supervision
  • Aftermarket and sales support
  • Remote technical support and troubleshooting
  • Prepare administrative requirements (expenses reports etc.)
  • Supervises Field Engineers
  • Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Support main region of work within Australia rest of APAC (as needed) Global (sometimes)

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Chemical Instrumentation or related discipline)
  • 5 years relevant experience experience with turbomachinery (compressors steam turbines gas turbines) in industrial environments especially Oil & Gas LNG or PowerGen
  • Experience with industrial instrumentation (flow pressure temperature transmitters and control valves) such as Rosemount Honeywell Yokogawa Fisher CCI
  • Experience with control system and DCS platforms such as: Allen-Bradley PLC Siemens PLC Honeywell Experion DCS Emerson Delta-V Yokogawa Centum VP CCC Prodigy CCC Vanguard.
  • Experience in inspecting control panels including bill of materials and detailed wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and NEMA standards for panel construction and certifications
  • Knowledge of Modbus protocol and other industrial communication standards (Profibus DP HART)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and commitment to continuous learning and improvement
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance
  • Maintain Safer Together OEUK and other regulatory medicals
  • Successfully complete BOSIET / FOET courses
