Whats the role
As a Director you will play a key role within the Group Finance function leveraging your deep understanding of accounting standards and broader financial reporting requirements within the financial services industry. You will lead and develop a high-performing team while providing accounting advisory across complex transactional activities monitoring evolving standards and industry best practice and delivering insights to enhance financial reporting. Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors you will manage relationships with senior stakeholders including the Group CFO Deputy CFO divisional finance teams Legal and Risk alongside supporting ad hoc initiatives across the wider Group Financial Control team.
What do I need
- Extensive experience across banking or financial services with exposure to financial assurance and technical accounting or within a Big 4 accounting firm
- Experience as a people leader leading and developing high performing teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement management collaboration advisory and partnering experience with senior leaders
- Advanced technical accounting expertise combined with strong commercial acumen to deliver insights apply accounting policy and statutory reporting frameworks and translate complex information into clear actionable messages.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement with advanced Excel capability required to support analysis reporting and decision-making.
- Chartered or CPA qualified
