Blast Crew Immediate Start

With new local contracts were looking for experienced Blast Crew to join our crews who have the relevant requirements for the role and are available immediately. You will work across multiple sites within the Bowen Basin. This is a casual opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent role offering the flexibility of a 7:7 roster.

The Role

As part of our Blast Crew youll be confident on the bench delivering safe and efficient blasting every day and operating independently. Youll report to the Shift Supervisor and handle explosives in preparation for blasts.

What Youll Do

• Dipping priming loading stemming and tie-in of blast patterns
• Safe use storage security transport and handling of explosives
• Operating ancillary equipment such as stemming loaders
• Working collaboratively with the crew to achieve daily targets

What Youll Need

Must-haves:

• Right to work in Australia and based in Queensland
• Previous Blast Crew experience in an open cut mining environment
• A current QLD coal board medical which has been completed within the last 12 months
• Up to date Standard 11
• Statement of Attainments for explosive handling or relevant RIIs e.g. RIIBLA201E Support Shotfiring Operations
• Valid QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card
• Able to pass pre-employment checks including medical drug and alcohol and background check

Nice to have:

• Heavy Rigid (or greater) driver licence
