About the role
As aBI Developerat TAFE NSW youll play a key role in supporting a data-driven culture and enabling smart decision-making across the organisation. Youll be hands-on with the Microsoft BI stackmaintaining enhancing and troubleshooting Business Intelligence services as well as performing bug fixes and minor upgrades on platforms like Fabric Synapse Semantic models and Power BI.
To succeed youll need solid experience with Microsoft BI tools strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to optimise and maintain notebooks. Your clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will ensure BI solutions meet organisational needs empowering teams with meaningful insights and fostering operational excellence.
About you
You enjoy collaborating with internal customers to create fit for purpose products. You are pro-active user-focused analytical and have strong verbal and written communication skills. You will have demonstrated experience working on multiple data-focused projects with contribution towards outcomes and delivery of end-to-end lifecycle projects.
Youhave5 years demonstrated end to endData Warehouse / Data Mart / BI development experience using Microsoft Azure Microsoft ETL and BI tools including SQL Server services including SQL Server Databases (column store) SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) SQL Server Analysis Services (Tabular and Multidimensional) (SSAS) SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Power BI and Microsoft Data Zen
You also have experience in applying Python and other relevant languagesand have applied understanding of development lifecycle methods and ITIL practices and demonstrated knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle SQL Server.
