Our client is a well-established and highly respected electrical contractor with over 25 years of success delivering large-scale commercial and industrial projects across Queensland.
With a strong pipeline of landmark construction projects secured across South East Queensland they are currently seeking a motivated Business Administration Trainee to join their team on the Toowoomba Hospital project.
This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start or further develop your career within the construction industry while working alongside an experienced Project Administrator in a supportive team environment.
The Opportunity
This role will see you supporting the day-to-day administration functions of a major commercial construction project. You will gain hands-on experience across project administration document control coordination and general office support while completing a Certificate III in Business Administration.
Whether you are just starting your career or already have a few years of administration experience this opportunity is ideal for someone eager to learn grow and build a long-term career in a professional construction environment. The key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Provide day-to-day administration support to the project team
- Assist with document control and project filing systems
- Coordinate meetings schedules and project correspondence
- Data entry and maintaining accurate project records
- Support onboarding and site administration processes
- Liaise with internal staff suppliers and subcontractors
- General administration and office coordination duties
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised motivated and eager to build a career in administration within the construction industry. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment have strong attention to detail and bring a positive team-focused attitude to the role. To be successful you will ideally bring:
- Previous administration experience (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A willingness to learn and take initiative
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
- A professional and positive attitude
- Commitment to completing a Certificate III in Business Administration
