The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Electrician to undertake a Certificate III in Electrotechnology over a four-year program which will enable you to obtain industry skills and knowledge under the supervision of qualified and experienced professionals while also attending TAFE to complete your certification.
During the program you will be a valued member of our team and will participate in workplace and worksite rotations experiencing a variety of work environments within the electricity supply industry which will enhance your skills and career development opportunities.
Apprenticeship Locations
- Broadmeadows (x2)
- Dandenong (x2) includes frequent intrastate travel with Living Away From Home Allowance (LAHA)
- Glen Waverley (x1)
- Thomastown (x1)
What Youll Be Doing
- Select install commission fault find and maintain high and low voltage electrical equipment in substations pertaining to the electricity transmission and distribution system
- Operate plant equipment and tools associated with the construction and maintenance of the transmission and distribution network
- Switching and operating work associated with high voltage and low voltage network assets where authorised and in accordance with network procedures
- General duties such as yard work ground work at job sites administration traffic control (where trained) and stores
What Were Looking For
We want team players who are enthusiastic hands-on and ready to learn. Youll succeed in this role if you:
- A pre-apprenticeship qualification (Certificate II Electrotechnology) will benefit your application but is not essential
- A good positive attitude and a willingness to work as a team will no doubt see you succeed in your new role
