Hano Academy is seeking a qualified and motivated Graphic Design & Multimedia Teacher to deliver practical hands-on training in graphic design photography video editing and digital content creation.

2. Job Purpose

The Graphic Design & Multimedia Teacher will deliver practical training to help learners develop creative and technical skills in multimedia production. The successful candidate will guide learners in developing projects and portfolios that prepare them for employment freelancing and entrepreneurship opportunities.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lessons in graphic design photography video editing and digital content creation.
• Prepare lesson plans training materials practical exercises and assessments.
• Teach learners how to design logos posters brochures social media graphics and other visual materials.
• Train learners in photography video recording editing and multimedia production.
• Demonstrate the use of relevant graphic design software multimedia tools and equipment.
• Guide learners in creating digital content for businesses organizations and social media platforms.
• Assign practical projects that help learners apply the skills they have acquired.
• Assess learners performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Support learners in building portfolios showcasing their graphic design and multimedia work.
• Maintain attendance records and monitor learners progress.
• Ensure the proper use and care of training equipment and software.
• Encourage creativity teamwork problem-solving and professional conduct.
• Prepare and submit training progress reports to the relevant supervisor.
• Support other academic and training activities assigned by Hano Academy.

4. Qualifications and Requirements

• A certificate in Multimedia Graphic Design Digital Media or a related field.
• A certificate in Training of Trainers (ToT) teaching or an equivalent training qualification.
• Previous experience teaching or delivering training in graphic design and multimedia.
• Demonstrated practical skills in graphic design photography video editing and digital content creation.
• Ability to use relevant software such as Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator Adobe Premiere Pro Canva CapCut or equivalent tools.
• Ability to develop lesson plans and deliver practical learner-centered training.
• Good communication presentation and classroom management skills.
• Ability to assess learners performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Fluency in Somali is required; knowledge of English is an advantage.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Mogadishu Somalia.

• Contribute to the development of learners employability freelancing and entrepreneurship skills.

7. Duty Station

The position is based at Hano Academy in Mogadishu Somalia. The selected candidate must be available to deliver training on-site.
