We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder to perform high-quality arc and gas welding cutting fabrication and repair work on pipelines pressure vessels structural steel piping systems and related equipment.

The successful candidate must be capable of welding various materials and pipe configurations in all positions particularly the 6G position while strictly following approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) applicable codes quality requirements and safety procedures.

The candidate should have proven experience producing welds that can successfully pass 100% Radiographic Testing (RT) and meet the requirements of ASME Section IX or BS 4871.

• Perform arc and gas welding on pipelines pressure vessels structural steel piping and related equipment.

• Perform welding in all positions including 6G in accordance with approved WPS and applicable welding codes.

• Carry out welding cutting fabrication repair and modification works as required.

• Select and use appropriate welding processes electrodes filler materials tools and equipment.

• Ensure proper joint preparation fit-up preheating welding and finishing in accordance with approved procedures.

• Produce high-quality welds suitable for critical and high-pressure applications.

• High-temperature-resistant materials

• Highly corrosion-resistant materials

• Perform welding in accordance with ASME Section IX (6G) or BS 4871 requirements.

• Follow approved WPS welding procedures drawings specifications and project quality requirements.

• Produce welds capable of meeting 100% Radiographic Testing (RT) requirements.

• Visually inspect completed welds and identify defects or imperfections.

• Carry out necessary repairs and rework to achieve required quality standards.

• Cooperate with QC Inspectors and NDT personnel during inspection and testing.

• Maintain required welding records and documentation.

Assist with specialised pipeline and maintenance activities including:

• Hot tapping of pipelines

• Stress relieving of welded joints

• Pigging operations

• Pipeline repair and modification activities

• Welding of high-pressure piping systems

• Follow all company project and site HSE procedures.

• Ensure welding and cutting activities are carried out safely.

• Use appropriate PPE and welding safety equipment.

• Follow hot-work permit and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements.

• Maintain safe working conditions around welding gas cylinders and other equipment.

• Report unsafe conditions equipment defects and incidents to the supervisor.

• Technical Secondary School education followed by at least 2 years of technical/vocational training.

• Qualified to the applicable requirements of ASME Section IX – 6G or BS 4871.

• Valid welding certification is highly preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant welding experience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in general-purpose arc welding and gas welding/cutting operations.

• Proven experience in pipe welding and high-pressure piping.

• Strong experience in thick-plate and pipeline welding.

• Hands-on experience in 6G welding position.

• Demonstrated ability to produce welds that successfully pass 100% RT inspection.

• Experience with carbon steel low-alloy steel stainless steel and other specialised alloys.

• Experience in oil & gas petrochemical pipeline fabrication or industrial projects is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of welding processes and techniques.

• Ability to interpret welding symbols drawings and specifications.

• Knowledge of WPS and applicable welding procedures.

• Good understanding of welding consumables and material compatibility.

• Ability to perform welding in all positions.

• Knowledge of weld defect identification and repair techniques.

• Familiarity with RT visual inspection and other welding quality-control requirements.

• Ability to work with high-pressure piping and critical welding applications.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Good understanding of workplace safety.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Physically fit and capable of working in challenging site conditions.

• Ability to work at heights in confined areas and in outdoor/project environments where required.

• Willingness to work overtime and according to project requirements.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced 6G Pipe Welder / Pipeline Welder / Industrial Welder with a strong background in oil & gas petrochemical pipeline pressure piping or industrial fabrication.

Candidates holding valid ASME Section IX 6G or BS 4871 certification with proven 100% RT-quality welding experience will be strongly preferred.
