UNIT CLERK
Responsibilities
Coordinate patient admissions transfers discharges and appointment schedules.
Maintain and update patient records forms and unit documentation.
Route calls messages test results and requests to the appropriate clinical staff.
Support daily unit operations including data entry filing and coordination with other departments.
Requirements
High school diploma; a Certificate or Diploma in Healthcare Administration is preferred.
Minimum 12 years of clerical experience preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient record procedures.
Proficiency in computer applications and electronic health record systems.
Strong organization communication confidentiality and multitasking skills.
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
