Responsibilities
- Perform inspection maintenance repair and overhaul of gas and steam turbines.
- Carry out turbine dismantling assembly alignment and component replacement.
- Inspect blades rotors bearings seals shafts and other mechanical components.
- Perform precision measurements using micrometers vernier calipers and dial gauges.
- Troubleshoot turbine mechanical faults vibration issues and performance problems.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance as per approved procedures.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings technical manuals and maintenance instructions.
- Follow proper torqueing alignment clearance and fitting procedures.
- Maintain maintenance and inspection records.
- Follow all HSE PTW and site safety requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years of relevant experience as a Turbine Mechanic in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Diploma / ITI / Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Maintenance preferred.
- Hands-on experience with gas turbines and/or steam turbines.
- Good knowledge of rotating equipment bearings seals shafts couplings and alignment techniques.
- Experience in shutdown turnaround or maintenance projects is preferred.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and mechanical tools.
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding Oil & Gas environments.
- Good troubleshooting teamwork and communication skills.
- Immediate availability preferred.
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
