Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all QC inspection activities for marine fabrication welding structural and piping works.
- Ensure work complies with approved ITPs drawings specifications WPS/PQR and project quality requirements.
- Monitor welding fabrication fit-up NDT dimensional checks and final inspections.
- Review inspection reports NCRs punch lists test records and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with client inspectors third-party inspectors supervisors and project teams.
- Ensure quality issues are corrected and closed within the required timeline.
Requirements
- Minimum 710 years of QC experience including supervisory experience in marine projects.
- Experience on vessels barges shipyards ports or marine fabrication projects.
- Strong knowledge of welding structural fabrication piping inspection NDT and quality documentation.
- Familiar with ITP WPS/PQR NCR inspection reports and applicable codes/standards.
- CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI / API or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong leadership reporting coordination and communication skills.
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
