Job Title: Junior Architect (Design)
Location: Qatar
Department: Design / Engineering
Experience: 68 years
1. Purpose of the Role
To support the development and coordination of architectural designs across all project stages ensuring accuracy compliance and timely delivery of design documentation in line with project requirements and local regulations.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Design Development
- Assist in preparing architectural designs from concept to detailed design stages.
- Produce drawings layouts and 3D models as per project requirements.
- Support in material selection and design detailing.
B. Drawings & Documentation
- Prepare detailed drawings shop drawings and as-built drawings.
- Ensure all drawings are accurate coordinated and meet project standards.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing records.
C. Coordination
- Coordinate with structural MEP and other disciplines to ensure integrated design.
- Assist in resolving design clashes and technical issues.
- Liaise with consultants and contractors for design clarifications.
D. Compliance & Approvals
- Ensure designs comply with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and local authority requirements.
- Support in preparing submissions for authority approvals.
E. Construction Support
- Review shop drawings and material submittal.
- Assist in responding to RFIs.
- Conduct site visits to verify implementation of design.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Architecture
- 68 years of experience in architectural design (construction projects preferred)
- UPDA/MMUP certification preferred
- Experience working with consultants or contractors
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit BIM tools
- Good knowledge of architectural detailing and construction methods
- Understanding of local regulations and authority processes in Qatar
