FOMV Splicer

Responsibilities

• Perform fusion and mechanical splicing of fiber optic cables.
  

• Strip clean and prepare fiber/copper cables for splicing.
  

• Use OTDR power meters and other tools to test and verify signal integrity.
  

• Maintain splicing records test results and as-built diagrams.
  

• Follow industry safety standards when handling cables and equipment.
  

• Work in outdoor environments manholes and telecom cabinets to splice and connect cables.
  

• Perform splicing and testing of submarine composite cable LSZH armored cable loose tube cable using Fusion splicing machine Ribbon splicing machine.
  

• Familiar with fiber optics tools and equipments OTDR Source/Power meter VFL Talk Set.
  

Requirements

Requirements

• Diploma/Certificate in Telecommunications Electronics or related field.
  

• Proven experience in fiber optic splicing and copper cable splicing.
  

• Knowledge of network layouts color codes and cable management systems.
  

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and splice diagrams.
  

• Familiarity with OTDR testing light source and power meter usage.
