Job Title: Fire Life Safety (FLS) Engineer

Location: Qatar
Contract Duration: 18 Months

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Fire Life Safety (FLS) Engineer to join our team for an 18-month project in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a strong architectural background with extensive experience in Fire & Life Safety design code compliance and authority approvals for commercial building projects. A valid QCDD Certificate and GCC experience are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop review and coordinate Fire & Life Safety (FLS) designs in accordance with QCDD regulations NFPA codes and applicable international standards.
  • Ensure architectural designs comply with fire safety and life safety requirements throughout all project stages.
  • Review architectural drawings technical submissions and specifications for FLS compliance.
  • Coordinate with architects MEP engineers consultants contractors and clients to resolve FLS-related design issues.
  • Liaise with QCDD and relevant authorities for design approvals inspections and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify implementation of approved Fire & Life Safety systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Prepare technical reports documentation and compliance records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project teams in achieving timely delivery while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
  • GCC experience is mandatory.
  • Strong architectural background with proven experience in Fire & Life Safety (FLS).
  • Valid QCDD Certificate is mandatory.
  • Experience working on commercial building projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of QCDD regulations NFPA codes and other relevant international Fire & Life Safety standards.
  • Excellent communication coordination and problem-solving skills.
