Elevator Safety Officer

Elevator Safety Officer (10–12 Years Experience):

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement HSE policies across elevator installation modernization and maintenance projects.
• Ensure full compliance with company HSE procedures client requirements and local regulations.
• Conduct site safety inspections audits and risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Develop and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Method Statements and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Investigate accidents incidents and near misses identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct safety inductions toolbox talks and HSE training for employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor compliance with PPE requirements and safe work practices at all project sites.
• Prepare HSE reports statistics and documentation for management and clients.
• Coordinate with project managers engineers and client representatives on all HSE matters.
• Support external audits and ensure continuous improvement of the company's HSE performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC is mandatory; NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is an advantage.
• 10–12 years of HSE experience with significant experience in the elevator industry.
• Strong knowledge of elevator installation maintenance modernization lifting operations electrical safety working at height and permit-to-work systems.
• Experience managing HSE requirements on multiple projects and leading safety initiatives.
• Excellent communication leadership and report-writing skills.
• Valid driving license is preferred.

• 10–12 years specifically in the elevator industry.
• NEBOSH IGC (or higher).
• Experience with major elevator companies (e.g. Otis KONE Schindler TK Elevator Mitsubishi Fujitec etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Qatar or GCC HSE regulations.
• Proven ability to work independently with clients and authorities.
